Mobile Hotspot

What is a mobile hotspot?

A mobile hotspot (sometimes called a portable hotspot) is a hotspot that’s just that—mobile! While a “regular” WiFi hotspot is tied to a physical location, a mobile hotspot can make a data connection to connect your laptop, phone, Ipad or other mobile device to the Internet. This process is called “tethering.”

When would a mobile hotspot be useful?

A mobile hotpot might be useful in the following situations:

-If you are running out of data on your phone or mobile device.

-If ou want to work from outside- in your yard, at a park etc. and you do not have a WiFi connection.

-If you have multiple people using Wifi on their devices and your signal is weak or working slower then you like.

-If you are going away on vacation and don't have Wifi.

-If the power goes out and your router is not working but you need a Wifi connection.
